About Me

Emma Waldron BA Ed

"I want my pupils to enjoy their lessons and feel a sense of achievement in every lesson. I also teach my lessons so that my pupils WANT to go home and practise."

I’ve always been passionate about music and have loved music and dancing from a young age. Being musically-minded, I enjoyed playing recorder at primary school.

I was delighted to begin flute lessons with the local music service in my secondary school. From there, as they say – the rest is history.

I graduated from Liverpool Hope University in 2001 with a BA Ed degree, specialising in music and education. I have been teaching music ever since.

I am constantly updating my knowledge and practice through my own professional development with organisations such as Curious Piano Teachers and EPTA (the European Piano Teachers’ Association) and continuing professional development courses provided by the local Music Education Hub which is my main employer.

I have 20+ years experience of teaching in a wide variety of settings. These include:

  • 1:1 Flute, clarinet, piano, recorder and saxophone lessons both in schools and pupils’ own homes
  • Small group lessons in schools
  • Whole class lessons in schools on recorder, flute and clarinet

I love teaching and have taught a wide variety of ages from age 7 to my current oldest who is 60+.

"Learning an instrument should be fun but also requires commitment, dedication, patience and time. I can help every student achieve their musical goals." Click below to enquire about lessons now to begin your musical journey with me!
